Utilising the very latest Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) and laser technology, Snooper have created the S4-R, the first GPS Safety Alert System to include built-in laser technology. An Industry and World First!

The Snooper S4-R has been specially designed to help you drive safely within the confines of today's speed limits, by alerting you quickly and easily to the presence of Police speed traps, often located at Accident Blackspots, electronically indicating potentially dangerous and hazardous situations.

Using the very latest GPS Technology
The geographical co-ordinates of all 'fixed' speed monitoring systems and many officially designated accident 'hotspots' have been stored on a database that is constantly monitored and up-dated by our data collection team ensuring that you are alerted to every potentially hazardous stretch of road or danger spot. Simply connect the S4-R to a compatible PC and this concise database can be downloaded* in a matter of minutes!

To ensure that your S4-R is always effective, downloads can be performed as often as the user prefers. An optional external modem can also be purchased for users without access to a PC, so that the database can be downloaded from any compatible telephone socket.

The Snooper S4-R then compares your position using it's built-in GPS antenna, with the position of every known fixed speed monitoring system and accident 'hotspot' alerting you both audibly and visually via a speaker and it's LCD text display ensuring your highest concentration at all times.

System Requirements:
To add the Snooper S4-R download software to your PC you will need a PC with Windows 98, 2000, XP or ME system software.

Enigma Database
GPS camera detection systems are only as good as the database of co-ordinates that are stored within them. That's why Snooper uses Enigma. Enigma consists of a dedicated team whose sole purpose is to research and manage a database of cameras and other points of interest not only in the UK, but across the rest of Europe as well. Please note however that the full European database is not available on all units at this time.

Snooper Speed Limit Alert System
The Snooper S4-R is also equipped with a user selectable speed limit alert system so that the device can be programmed to alert you to any pre-determined speed you choose. Acting as a constant reminder of the current speed limit.

Laser Detection as Standard
The Snooper S4-R comes complete with a built-in 360 degree laser detector. This laser detector has been designed to detect all types of mobile laser speed monitoring systems often used in danger spots where 'Fixed' systems cannot be easily utilised. As a result Snooper S4-R you will alert you to nearly every speed monitoring system and accident hotspot whether Fixed or Mobile.

Genuine 'Plug & Play' Installation
The Snooper S4-R is the World's smallest combination GPS Safety Alert System and the only system available with built-in 360 degree laser detection! As both technologies are incorporated in the one unit, installation is simple. Mount the device in a suitable position on the dashboard or windscreen and connect it to the vehicles cigarette lighter socket with the power cable provided, then switch it on. It really is as simple as that!

Snooper S4-R Alert Patterns
The Snooper S4-R has been designed to alert you to Police Speed Monitoring Systems and Accident Blackspots in the clearest and safest way possible. The device will alert you visually via a bright LED text display and audibly with a voice alert so that you do not even have to take you eyes from the road!

Both alert patterns will indicate the type of location you are approaching as well the Speed Limit on that stretch of road. The LED display will also count down your distance to the trap from 1000-50m. The voice alert can be switched to a loud piezo bleeper if preferred.

An optional ear-piece is also available, designed to transfer the audible alert directly to the inside of your helmet for motorcycle use.


Radar/laser detection as standard
The Snooper S4-R also comes complete with a radar/laser detector (RLD) that can either be mounted on the dashboard or inside of the windscreen. The S4-R radar/laser detector however is also waterproof and comes complete with an under bonnet mounting kit so that it can be positioned within the engine compartment behind the vehicles grille for a neat and professional installation.

The S4-R RLD has been designed to detect all types of radar and laser speed monitoring systems often used in danger spots where 'Fixed' systems cannot be easily utilsed, thus ensuring that you will be made alert to nearly every speed monitoring system and accident hotspot whether Fixed or Mobile.

Detection of radar and laser is also selectable so that the device can be programmed to detect radar and laser, laser only or can even be turned off in low risk areas.
